Health insurance cover:

The cost of reconstructive surgery is covered more or less by all health insurance companies. Some insurance policies cover the entire expense, while there are insurance policies that cover only a part of it.

The expenses of plastic surgeries are not covered by the health insurance policies. However there are some doctors provides financial programs or credit card facilities that enable the patients to pay the bill on monthly basis.

However it should be kept in mind that there are gray areas also in a cosmetic surgery. It can be illustrated as follows, if drooping eyelids of a patient is impairing his vision, and it needs to be operated, the health insurance policy may cover some of the expenses considering the fact that the surgery is being performed to provide relief to the patient and not for the reasons of beautification.
